She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…
Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice…even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cockycaptain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.
…and it’s going to be oh so good
All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.
This is one of my all time favorite books. I love everything about the characters, the story line, and all of the subplots involved in the book. This is definitely a new adult romance book with some steamy scenes. I have read and re-read this book so many times and it never gets old. Hannah is an amazing character. I love her character development and inner monologues, and the struggles she’s gone through. Not to be too ‘TMI’, but she has very similar problems to the ones I do, but for slightly different reasons. It’s inspiring for me to watch her grow as a character and grow closer to Garrett, because I’ve often felt like her.
Garrett is the ultimate bad boy. He’s a sexy hockey player/history major who ropes Hannah into tutoring him to make her crush jealous. But… the tables turned on both of them. I enjoyed reading about their relationship and how it developed because it wasn’t really the same thing I’ve seen in other books like this. Their relationship was very slow because we, as the reader, knew they were falling for eachother before even they did. I enjoyed the honesty and trust they had between eachother as well. I felt like their relationship really was ‘relationship goals’ because it was a healthy relationship, unlike a lot of the ones we read about today.
All in all, I really loved this book. I’d recommend this book to anyone who wants to read romance, and I’d definitely recommend this to my friends. I will absolutely be reading it and the others in the series multiple more times, so if you want to see my reviews for the rest of the series, stay tuned!!
